Senior Manager, Valuation & Capital Markets Analysis (Nationwide)

The Valuation Senior Manager is responsible for leading, executing and delivery of challenging valuation engagements by participating in all aspects of projects, from the initial proposal preparation, through project completion. In this role, the Senior Manager is actively engaged in the management of business valuation assignments and managing staff in the development of such assignments. In addition, the Valuation Senior Manager will be charged with assisting with business development activities and appraisal reviews.

As there are several cities listed within this job description, we would consider candidates nationwide and able to work remote as long as willing to travel to client site as needed.

Essential Duties:

  • Oversees multiple projects from a technical aspect and is responsible for the economics and profitability.
  • Directs junior staff regarding the following:
  • Performing related company, industry and economic research
  • Analyzing client financial statements
  • Constructing financial models
  • Assessing operational profitability and financial conditions
  • Developing and reviews cash flow forecasts
  • Performing benchmark analysis
  • Documenting and maintaining all appropriate aspects of work product, including but not limited to adherence to quality controls
  • Composing narrative reports in support of valuation analyses
  • Preparing necessary exhibits and memos in illustration of complex issuesParticipates in internal and external client meetings
  • Assists and provides guidance to peers and staff members in the development of project plans and timelines for deliverables
  • Responsible for business development activities, such as speaking events, proposal preparations and networking.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Supervises the day-to-day workload of Valuation Managers, Senior Associates and Associates on assigned engagements and reviews work product
  • Ensures Valuation Managers, Senior Associates and Associates are trained on all relevant valuation databases and models.
  • Evaluates the performance of Valuation Managers, Senior Associates and Associates and assists in the development of goals and objectives to enhance professional development
  • Delivers periodic performance feedback and completes performance evaluations for Managers, Senior Associates and Associates
  • Acts as Career Advisor to Valuation Managers, Senior Associates and Associates, as appropriate



  • Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or other relevant field required
  • Masters in Business Administration preferred


  • Eight (8) or more years of business valuation experience in a Big 4 or national basis required
  • Significant experience in business valuation and intangible assets required
  • Prior experience in financial reporting valuation and appraisal review


  • CPA, CFA, AM, ASA or other valuation industry credentials preferred


  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, PowerPoint and Word
  • Prior experience with Capital IQ and Bloomberg preferred

  • Ability for intermittent travel within the US and internationally required
